Repeaters PDF Print E-mail

CARA currently operates four repeaters Two are on the 70cm amateur band and two are on the 2m amateur band.

All repeaters transmit a 156.7Hz CTCSS tone when in analog mode, enabling users to implement tone squelch. Using tone squelch is suggested for those with analog-only radios who do not wish to hear the digital roar while monitoring the repeater.

They are accessed as follows:

Frequency Offset CTCSS Tone & Mode
147.135 +600 KHz

System Fusion (C4FM) in Automatic Mode - The repeater will switch between analog and C4FM modes, automatically, to match the input signal

A 156.7 Hz CTCSS tone is required for the analog mode

147.390 +600 KHz

System Fusion (C4FM) in Automatic Mode - The repeater will switch between analog and C4FM modes, automatically, to match the input signal

A 156.7 Hz CTCSS tone is required for the analog mode

147.390 is off the air at the moment. We're going into the site on Saturday afternoon to check it out, following procedures that we got from Yaesu.
