Our speaker will be Will Marchant, KW4WZ, who will talk about Model Rocketry and Ham Radio. He will summarize some of the changes in model rocketry since it started in the 1950's and then talk about the uses of radio, and ham radio, in the hobby. Besides flying model rockets, Will is a volunteer with the https://www.ariss.org/ program and maintains the https://www.spaceflightsoftware.com/ARISS_SSTV/ slow scan television gallery. Will works as an aerospace engineer at the https://www.ssl.berkeley.edu/ laboratory.
