Tim Titus, W1TRT, will speak about the radio club of the National Electronics Museum and its move to a new location.
Westinghouse played a major role in the science and technology of radar during WWII. In 1983 several of the radar engineers formed the National Electronics Museum (NEM) to honor the Westinghouse contribution. It was located in Linthicum, Maryland. The museum grew to include a ham radio club with a QTH housed on site. NEM continued to grow after Northrop Grumman (NG) bought Westinghouse in 1996. In 2020 the existing space was needed for other business purposes, triggering a search for a new location for the Museum and a new site where the ham club could set up and operate. This presentation is the story about that relocation.
