Topic/Presenter:

Nour Rawafi, project scientist of NASA’s Parker Solar Probe mission, will show some of the exciting new discoveries made by the Parker Solar Probe mission that passed closer to the Sun than any spacecraft. It elucidated the structure of its magnetic field, origin of the solar wind, and the acceleration of atomic charged particles.

CARA's monthly membership meetings are open to all!

In-person meetings are at the Applied Physics Lab Building 1 Cafeteria, 11100 Johns Hopkins Rd, Laurel, MD 20723. From Rt. 29 go west on Johns Hopkins Road. At the second light turn right onto APL Drive and proceed until it ends at the flagpole in front of Bldg 1. Go left at the flagpole and park. From the Bldg 1 lobby, turn right at the guard desk to enter the cafeteria and proceed to the far end.
