Work on the 147.390 repeater in Cooksville was completed on May 12, and reports confirm good reach into Columbia, Ellicott City, Clarksville, and surrounding areas. Work on the 147.135 and 449.475 repeaters has been rescheduled to May 30-31.

The CARA repeaters will be going offline to permit maintenance on the towers and antenna replacement on the following dates:

147.390 - Thursday, May 11 and Friday, May 12

147.135 and 449.475 on Thursday, May 24 and Friday, May 25.

We will update you if there are any changes.

At tonight's presentation about passive electronic components, John W3GJN showed a variety of inductors, capacitors, and resistors and how they can be made, including an example of a functional capacitor he built using foil and plastic wrap.
